Bellur Krishnamachar Sundararaja (BKS) Iyengar, who is credited with making Yoga globally popular, died on Wednesday at the age of 95 following a heart attack and renal failure.
He revolutionized yoga by using props to make classic asanas (Yoga postures) accessible and safer. His props brought health benefits to those who had limited mobility because of age, injuries or illnesses.
